Gunmen abduct principal’s wife in Bayelsa State..

The wife of the Principal of Gbanrainowei Grammar School, Okolobiri, Bayelsa State, Mr. Moron Pereowei, Mrs Edith Pereowei, has been abducted by unknown gunmen at their residence in Azikoro Village, Yenagoa local government area of the state. According to reports, the 12-man gang stormed the home of the principal, gaining access by smashing the building window. They first gained access into the room of Mrs Pereowei's younger brother, whom they held at gunpoint and used to lure the couple out of their room. The gunmen shot their victim on the leg before whisking her away. Her family is yet to receive any word from her abductors. Meanwhile the state police command says it is working towards the safe return of the victim.

Police release photo of the man who carried out acid attack on a lady and her cousin on her 21st birthday

Recently, LIB shared reports of a lady who was attacked  alongside her cousin by a stranger while they were driving around town on her birthday in London. The police has identified the attacker as John Tomlin  and has a distinct face tattoo. The police also revealed the case is being treated as a hate crime.                     Detective Superintendent Neil Matthews said: ‘We are treating this incident very seriously and, following new information that has come to light, it is now being treated as a hate crime.                         The victims, Resham Khan 21, and her cousin Jameel Mukhtar, 37, who suffered devastating injuries in the attack in east London are still receiving treatments in the hospital.

Jude Iroh Junior, the young man killed during the renewed war between the Vikings and Black Axe Confraternity in Ugep, Yakurr LGA of Cross River State was the nephew of the Special Assistant to President Buhari on Prosecution, Barrister Okoi Obono-Obla. Jude, suspected to be a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity was shot dead at the palace of Obol Lopon Of Ugep on Thursday. EFCC traced N603 million to the wife of a civil servant

 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has traced the sum of N603 million to the wife of Mr Josiah Habu, who is the Director of the Bioresources Development Centre in Bayelsa State. Investigations carried out by EFCC showed that Esther was given suspicious contracts by over 20 directors of BIODEC across the country. A statement by the EFCC spokesman, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, stated that about N70m was traced to Esther's husband. Director-General of NABDA, Prof Lucy Ogbadu, who oversees all BIODEC branches across the country was also arrested by the anti-graft agency. The professor allegedly received N23m from the slush fund. EFCC stated that Ogbadu’s link with all the alleged scams was being investigated. She had been duly served with bail conditions while investigations continued. The EFCC statement read in part: "Operatives of the EFCC have arrested the serving Director-General of NABDA, Prof Lucy Ogbadu, for her alleged involvement in criminal conspiracy

Utibe, the boy That sang Davido's song (If) in a viral video, sadly loses his mother

Remember Utibe? The little boy that caught Davido's attention by singing his song "If" in a video that  viral? It was revealed this morning that his mother has gone The person who recorded the video, Sham Rock, previously revealed that not only was Utibe now enrolled into school at Government Central Primary school Ibeno, Akwa Ibom state but Davido reached out and paid for a construction of a new home for the boy and his family, which is ongoing.   His mother sadly lost her life and the reason was not stated.  "Rest in peace UTIBES MUM.. According to Ogbeh, this will serve as possible means of economic diversification and also as a way of generating foreign exchange.
