Boko Haram militants attack Komdi and Tuyan villages near Chibok in the southern part of Borno state in search of food

Five persons have been confirmed dead while six others are still missing following an attack by Boko Haram militants on two villages near Chibok.
Local residents told Sahara reporters that the attack occurred on Sunday, evening June 11, when the insurgents raided Komdi and Tuyan villages near Chibok in the Southern part of Borno state in search of food.
"They rode on motorcycles to Komdi at about 6 pm on Sunday and started shooting wildly, forcing the villagers to flee into the bush. Unfortunately, they killed three persons and left many injured," a local resident," Maina Yakubu said.
He added that the insurgents razed the whole village after looting food items and livestock.
Narrating the attack on Tuyan, another local, Ali Ba'na, said the village was razed while the terrorists killed two persons in the attack.
He added that six persons, including five women and one girl are still missing following the raid.
"We believe they have been forcefully taken away by Boko Haram. They burnt down the whole village after they had looted our food items and livestock. They left nothing behind," Ba'na told this website by phone.
Meanwhile, some soldiers were onWednesday, June 13, were ambushed by members of the Boko Haram terrorist group.
Sebkeyzblog.blogspot.com gathered that there were large explosions at about 8.30 pm around Damboa road in Borno state.
Sources said the blast was from an attack on a military base in the area by Boko Haram terrorists.
One of the source said the terrorists ambushed the troops at Damboa axis and took away two Hilux vehicles from the Nigerian soldiers.
