News: Biafra is an old-fashioned idea - Young Igbo man says
An angry Igbo man identified as Chinedu claims that the originators of Biafra are old, aged and dead
- He insinuated that the Arewa youths who issued the quit notice were instigated to doing such by an Igbo man
- He urged Igbos to seek for a better Nigeria instead, where things would work well for everyone
An angry Igbo man is urging all Igbos to abandon the agitation for Biafra.
In a video posted on Facebook, the man who identified himself as Chinedu, referred to Biafra as an ‘old fashioned idea’, stating: “If you were given a cloth from the 60’s and told to stroll down the streets of Abuja, Enugu or Aba, will you wear it?”
According to him, “If you wear such, you will be tagged mad!”
He went further, stating that people who birthed Biafra are now “old, aged and dead”.
Chinedu insinuated that Igbos have moved past Biafra as they had made investments around the world with the 25 pounds received after the civil war.
He chided those agitating for Biafra, asking them “are you normal…calling Biafra, are you normal?”
He claimed that 80% of the houses in Abuja belong to Igbos whom the agitators claim are Biafrans.
Chinedu also went further, claiming that the Arewa youths who issued a quit notice to Igbos in the north were paid by an Igbo man to do so.
According to him, an Igbo man paid the Hausa youths, so it would seem as though there was really an ethnic war going on.
Chinedu refused to be identified as a Biafran; stating instead that Igbos should clamor for a better Nigeria.
He urged them: “Look for a confederation that is beautiful, not agitating for an old fashioned wear”.
He ended by saying that Biafra was in no one’s interest, and he was not ready to spill his own blood over such an idea.
Meanwhile, Sebkeyzblog.blogspot.com previously reported that the zonal leader of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has reacted to claims that the organization was planning to launch an attack on the Umuahia residence of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu.
He dismissed the claims as false and referred to those who put out the information as detractors of the group
